My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bear is a 2 year old, neutered male, purebred Newfoundland and he is a GIANT love bug! He wants nothing more than to be your BIG lap dog, weighing in at 167 pounds, with only about 15 of those being extra. He wants to be with his people and can experience some separation anxiety. He has been around other dogs and cats with no problems. In addition to his sweet temperament, Bear is smart and will train well, with dedication and work on the part of his forever family.
He can walk well on a leash, when he chooses to, but if he decides to pull, HANG ON! There has only been one accident in the house and that was on the first day he was at home, there was NO other mishap. He has been out while the foster family is away, but they will be working on kennel training as well. Due to his size, we would not recommend a home with very young children. He is fine with older children. Bear is up to date on his vaccinations and he is on heart worm preventative. The lucky family that adopts Bear will have added a one-in-a-million dog to their family.

Our adoption fee is $300.00. A fenced yard with a minimum height of 4-feet is required for adoption.
If you plan on submitting an application and you are out of our region, once your application is approved we require that you come to our area to meet the dog and foster family. If that goes well you will be able to take your Newfie home with you.
