My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update April 2008. This winter I was diagnosed with colitis. My foster mom reviewed all of the gentle diets out there available through prescription but didn't like any of them. She told me they contained way too much junk, gentle or not. So she's been making me her own special recipe which combines oatmeal, farina, yogurt, Missing Link Plus, Solid Gold Seameal, and Grizzly Salmon oil. She makes up big batches of the stuff, keeps it in the fridge and then gives me about 1/2 - 1 cup of the mixture along with about an 1/8 of a cup of dry Nutro Natural Choice Senior and a multiple vitamin twice a day. I'm doing wonderfully on it if I do say so myself. Update Jan. 2008. I've been with CCDR now a bit over a year. My sister and I are still waiting, patiently I might add, for a family to adopt us. I've just been diagnosed with Colitis which means I have to eat a bland diet. Perhaps there is a human out there that also must eat a bland diet. Perhaps we can be diet partners. Luckily, I eat just about anything that is put in front of me. I am not a fussy eater. I still enjoy getting out for the occasional walk. Although the cold weather we have in OH has been a bit much to take. Update June 22, 2007 Jonesy and I are still on the hunt for our own forever home. Please don't apply for either of us unless you're willing and able to adopt both of us. We've been together all our lives and although we get along with other dogs we wish to remain together.
Update May 27, 2007. My foster family has moved into their own home. I've had a wonderful time checking out the new home. My foster mom tells me that my name should be changed to Houdini. She says this because when I'm outside I spend my time trying to escape from the fenced in area in which my brothers/sisters and I do our potty business. I may be blind that doesn't matter to me. All I know is that there's a lot to be discovered on the other side of the fencing and it's my job to find out all that I can. So if your yard needs to be investigated I would be happy to come over any time. Update May 9. I am here to tell you that seniors are just as much fun as those younger dogs out there. I'm at least 8 years old but please do not let my age deter you from adopting me. I promise I'm just as much fun to be around as those young whippersnappers are.

Update March 21, 2007. I am still in search of a forever home. I may be blind but I can still see with my heart. I would love to show you that being blind is not a bad thing. It just means that I use my sniffer really well. I really enjoy the semi spring weather we're having in OH as I love to go for walks. My foster mom tells me that I walk very well on a leash. Although I do have a companion, Jonesy, that I prefer to be adopted with I also get along well with other dogs. We even let other dogs join us in our bed. I am crate trained and I don't really mind being in a crate as long as I am in a crate with my companion, Jonesy.

Hello, my name is Jilly. I come from the great state of Wisconsin. I arrived with CCDR along with my companion Jonesy. We are in search of a new home. I am the more adventurous of the two of us. I like to go for walks or to just sniff around outside. I'll be glad to find out if you have any weak areas in your fencing if you have a fenced in yard. I like to give kisses, cuddle with humans, burrow under blankies - would you like me to give you a kiss? I do not see very well and I do bump into things but I don't mind. I manage to sniff out my humans when I need them. I weigh approximately 13 lbs. My adoption fee is $150 since I am a senior. I prefer to be adopted by a family that will also adopt my sister, Jonesy.
Jilly & Jonesy are in a foster home in Ohio. For more information about them, please contact their foster Mom, Colleen, at CMDundon@aol.com or 330-479-7297.
