My name is Murphee. I am a handsome, 8 year old, neutered male Chihuahua mix. I weigh in at about 14 lbs. I have exemplary house manners. I am quiet in the house, I do all my toileting outside and I don't have any annoying puppyish behaviors like chewing up shoes, furniture, etc. You can count on me to behave myself even when you aren't looking. I love to go for walks. I get so excited when I see that leash. I walk like a drunken sailor (all over the place) but I have a good energy level and a very jaunty little prance. I can keep up with you. In fact, at times you may need to prompt me to go a little slower. I am cautious around new people and can be a little barky when someone new is around. Once I get to know you and figure out that you mean me no harm, we can be friends. I love to run around my fenced backyard. I think I could get along with another small dog but I don't really like the big galoot that lives in my foster home. He is a goofy pup and likes to play rough. I find the young whippersnapper a little annoying. I believe dogs should act in a more dignified manner. I am very good in my crate although I see no reason for me to be in there. I am equally good lounging on the couch. I would very much like a home of my own where I can feel safe and secure. My dream would be a quiet home with adults. I don't think I would do well with young kids but older kids who can respect my dignity might be okay. I am a low maintenance guy. If you want a well-mannered companion, I am your man. I am up to date on my vaccinations, negative for Heartworm and Lyme disease and microchipped.
