**Rosie is currently living in an amazing foster home in Houston, Texas and is available for out-of-state adoption. She would love an active lifestyle with a loving and affectionate family. She is available to “meet” you today via Skype or FaceTime if you are interested in adopting her.**
Rosie is our very own beauty queen! She is a gorgeous red, Hound/ Staffordshire Terrier Mix and has a matching personality. This stunning girl is about 58 pounds and 3 years old. Her silky red coat and her playful personality are perfect for just about any family. Rosie had a rough early life as a stray on the streets of Houston, but all of that is a distant memory since she was rescued. Her past hasn’t affected her personality and she’s just happy-go-lucky and ready to move into her new family.
Rosie quickly learned to socialize with people and other dogs once she joined our program. She has great energy and a perfect build to play in the yard or park, hike, jog trails and any other adventures that she’s invited to join in on. She is quite playful and will chase a toy or ball across the yard if you like to throw it for her. She’s wonderful inside as well and will settle down for a nice, quiet evening either in her crate, on your feet or snuggled up with you on the couch. She doesn’t need to be in her crate while you are away, she just naps and waits for her people to get back.
She gets along really well with all other dogs and is currently living with 4 Dachshund that are 1/5th her size. She recently spent 8 long hours at an adoption event with 2 young puppies and just had a blast. She does think that chasing squirrels is a game out in her yard, so since there is a slight similarity between squirrels and cats, we feel that she needs to be in a home without any cat family members. She gets along well with children too and has spent a lot of time with her favorite toddler, pictured with her poolside.
She has learned so much since her rescue and is incredibly bright. There is so much more that she could learn with more one-on-one training. She is the type of dog that seeks approval from her people and tries to do well because she craves love and attention from them. Her favorite rewards are scratches behind her floppy ears, at the base of her tail and belly rubs.
Rosie is perfectly crate trained, leash trained and housebroken and working on her commands. She has an exuberant personality, a love for life and enjoys all adventures. Rosalie is spayed, microchipped, and current on all of her vaccinations. She is currently living in an amazing foster home with little dogs and little kid visitors in Houston and is available for out-of-state adoption. Her out-of-state adoption fee is $350, which includes her airline flight, travel kennel, comfy travel bed and her travel documents. The kennel and bed are hers to keep upon her arrival.
