My name is Domino; it is the name my foster daddy gave me on the day he came to rescue me from the pound I sat in for a month. I really was not doing well in my cage all day with no attention and no love and no exercise. I really started going a little wacko in there and I am sure the volunteers at CAA Rescue were a little concerned on the day they came to rescue me wondering if they were too late; wondering if I have spent too much time in a cage alone and scared and nervous, would I be too far gone? But nope! I gave them absolutely nothing to worry about whatsoever! I was a little over excited of course as it had been a long time I was confined but in the car on the way to my foster daddy’s home I literally almost fell asleep. I was so exhausted and felt like I had not slept in a month (which I really did not)
On my first day foster daddy took me for a walk and I was so happy to be out I sniffed EVERYTHING like I had never smelt anything before!
I settled down into my foster home with no issues whatsoever! I am dog friendly and clean in the home … well except for that one time but honestly it was not my fault I really did think that my foster daddy bought me that potted indoor tree JUST FOR ME! I quickly learned that it was not my own personal indoor potty
I am high energy being a German Shepherd Husky mix! I would love a home with a back yard where you can run and I can chase you. If you like to jog a couple of times a week that would be awesome too. I do love my walks very much so you should be an avid walker!
The husky in me lovvvvvvvvvvvves to talk! So no apartments for me please because I will get you in trouble with neighbors and your land lord. Yeah I bark – all dogs bark but I like to talk when I am happy or excited. I have so much to tell you so I need someone who likes to listen, some of my stories are pretty funny and I always have foster daddy laughing!
I have not been tested with cats but I am gonna go out on a limb and guess the husky in me might consider them yummy treats! While I have shown no prey drive yet in foster care I think a home with no cats would be better for me.
I have not been around any young children so probably an active home with children over the age of 12 years or no children at all seeing how I would love to be your one and only spoiled baby!
I have not been left alone for any extended period of time so we are not sure if I suffer from anxiety but I do have resident doggie to keep me company so even if I am alone with no humans I am never really alone.
I am an absolute cuddlebug with humans and love my people very much!
