World, meet Lucas. Lucas is a sweet, 5 year old male Cocker Spaniel looking for a lap of his own. Although he is 28 lbs, that does not stop him from wanting to be held. He likes to follow you everywhere you go. If you are looking for a loyal companion to keep your lap warm & stay in your shadow, Lucas is the guy for you. Lucas has spent all 5 years of his life in filth & neglect. When Lucas came into rescue, he had to be completely shaved down due to stained & matted hair. He was so defeated & would not pick up his head. After his “clean up”, his gorgeous face & personality started to show. After a few days, he gained confidence & holds his head up high. He is a very proud boy. He really enjoys running outside & taking long naps on the couch. Although still a little shy, he warms up to people rather quickly & solicits all the attention. He has learned how to live a normal life with humans & fursiblings. He is very loyal & is always by your side. He recently started to show interest in toys & loves to play fetch with his Labrador brother. You can find Lucas running and playing chase with his brothers & sisters. He has really come out of his shell & will make a WONDERFUL companion. Lucas would do well in a home with fursiblings because he enjoys playing chase with them or as the only dog because he is a very loyal companion. A home without young children is recommended. He has been neutered & microchipped as well as up to date on his vaccinations. He also has received a dental. He does not have any health issues.
