Posey's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Posey's Story...
Peeko and Posey are a brother-sister pair. Because they are strongly bonded
and every kitten needs a playmate, we will place them in as a pair only.

These little cuties were born about October 10, 2014, so they are still too young to know what their adult personalities will be, but for now they are typical kittens: active, hungry, playful, hungry, curious, affectionate, happy and did we mention hungry? Also, we have their mother, Petunia, who is sweet, social and very confident, and it's likely the kittens will grow up to be like her.

Like all ARCF cats for adoption, Peeko and Posey have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, are up to date on vaccines, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV. The adoption fee for the pair of kittens is $150.

If you are interested in meeting any of our kittens for adoption, please click the green "Adopt Me" button on this page and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark.

Animal Rescue & Care Fund, Inc. is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering our pets for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Posey, a Portland Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Portland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
