About Lanee
We would like you to meet Lanee. She is approx. 4 years of age. She has the silkiest and super shiny coat. Lanee was rescued from death row with her kittens who were all adopted. She is very shy by nature but truly wants and enjoys being pet . She just requires someone that will give her the time to adjust to her new surroundings.
Lanee has come a very long way and this is an update from her foster mom "Lanee is doing very well. Much improved from when we first met!
She loves to cuddle, get belly-rubs, and have her fur brushed. She knows the sound of the Temptations treats bag and (just like the advertisements suggest) comes running when she hears the bag shaking. Lanee now has a few different toys she likes to play with. She loves her felt bow and now also has a catnip mouse and is learning to chase ribbons, etc. when they are dragged along the floor. Her latest favourite thing is batting around the plastic egg-container that holds the toy inside Kinder Surprise eggs. Having found this out, family and friends have greatly enjoyed buying Kinder eggs...they get the chocolate, Lanee gets the plastic egg. Unfortunately I now have about a dozen plastic eggs rolling around my living room floor! Each morning I have to check where Lanee has knocked them all (under furniture, into another room, etc.) so I can "reset" them for her in the middle of the floor.
She is also making great strides socializing with other people. While she still gets nervous, she is becoming more accustomed to sitting on the sofa while other people around. She still does not deal well with sudden movements or loud noises but is improving greatly. Who would have thought the frightened little girl that joined me last winter could be the sweet cuddle bug that is purring away beside me now!
