My story

Stark & Lannister are bonded siblings, born October 2014.

Lannister is a sweet kitten that isn't sure what personal space means. He likes to follow his humans around to see what is going on and loves to help in the kitchen when he gets the chance. Cats and dogs don't bother him at all. He will happily play with both, often even if they aren't interested in playing with him. He loves to pounce and will fly through the air after toys. When he spots a little fluffy ball he will carry it around and growl at the other cats to try and defend his kill.

All of our cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and have been tested for FIV and FeLV prior to being made available for adoption.

Additional adoption info

Online adoption application: https://forms.gle/FE6WWmb2cndnz2db9 Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescued cat. Each year there are tens of thousands of cats that are made homeless in Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas. Sadly, there are more cats than there are suitable homes. We take adoptions very seriously. Our adoptable cats are typically found as strays trying to survive in feral cat colonies where they were either abandoned, neglected, or abused. We are the only advocates for the cats we rescue, and feel that it is critical for our adoptable cats be placed in safe, loving, caring and permanent homes. Whether you plan to adopt an adult cat or a kitten, you are making a 10-20 year commitment to that feline. Therefore, we reserve the right to deny the adoption of a cat to anyone whom we feel will not provide humane, responsible, and lifetime care of the cat. All of our cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have been tested for FIV and FeLV prior to being made available for adoption. Though not a requirement in most cases, we encourage you to at least consider adopting kittens in pairs. Kittens find it especially comforting – and having a built-in playmate often helps them integrate into their new family more easily.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to effect change in the way community cats are viewed and treated in the City of Edmond. Our primary focus is to humanely and non-lethally reduce the numbers of free-roaming community cats in the City of Edmond via an aggressive Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program. TNR is the most effective long-term approach to reducing the feral cat population in the City of Edmond. TNR involves humanely trapping, spaying/neutering, vaccinating, marking for identification, and then returning of feral cats to the location from which they were trapped so that they may live out their lives. TNR respects feral cats' right to live, and their niche in the community, without adding to the homeless cat population. TNR stabilizes the feral cat population and, over time, reduces it while substantially reducing or eliminating nuisance behaviors. Through the process of TNR, we regularly encounter friendly, unowned, stray cats as well as young kittens that can be socialized and put into adoption when room in foster homes is available.
