My story

Peace and Maggie (bonded pair)

Adoption Donation: $200.00

Age: approximately 11 and 8 years old (2014)

Weight: approximately 8 lbs each

Peace and Maggie were an owner surrender. Their family fell on hard times. They were covered in fleas so that had to be treated. Both Peace and Maggie had to be spayed. Maggie also, had breast lumps which had to be removed. Three lumps were removed and they were not cancerous. If they would have remained, they would have turned into malignant lumps.

Peace is black and 11 years old in 2014. She adjusted quickly to a new home. But she does have some issues. She does not like to walk through the doorway to the outside. She panics. She rides in the stroller on our walks and lies down. She does not look at anything, as if she is afraid of the world. Her eyesight is starting to fail and needs eyedrops for the remainder of her life. She does use the puppy pads but sometimes she doesn't. I need to do a bit more investigating with diapers.

Maggie is brown and was 8 years old in 2014. She is the protector of the two. She watches out for Peace and always makes sure that Peace is okay. She is a bit braver and will walk on a leash. But she has a very tough exterior. She is housetrained. We have discovered that Maggie needs to be on allergy medication.
