My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Misha is a beautiful ragdoll cat, with layers of brown fur in a variety of hues. He has dark accents on his ears and on his bushy tail, contrasting with his snowy white paws and neck. Misha mostly loves to snuggle, but is also quite playful.

Misha was in a foster home as a kitten but was adopted by a family where he lived with Rudi, a Siamese who is also up for adoption. After nine years, Misha's family could no longer keep him or his companion, so yet again these kitties are looking for a home that can provide endless love. In return for your attention, Misha will stay by your side during the day (he likes to keep family in sight) and curl up against you at night.

At nine, Misha has a reassuring calmness about him, but has the playfulness of a kitten when there are toys. He is amazingly quick in a game of chase, darting around corners and grasping his pretend prey with impressive agility.

Misha enjoys hanging out with the dog that shares his foster home, so would be fine being adopted into a home with a dog. Misha likes his scratching post (not declawed) and has no health issues, which makes him a very healthy guy.

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and either come to an adoption event or arrange to meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
