My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you tired of material girls checking what kind of car you drive before deciding to go out with you? Well, I just might be the girl you are looking for! I don’t care whether your car is new or old, fancy or cool. To be honest, this is because I prefer not to ride in cars at all because I get quite car sick and usually lose my breakfast if I ride in one. I mean, I have four perfectly good legs to get around on, and they are my preferred method of transport, so I am looking for a home that is within walking distance of trails and dog parks.
I was in pretty rough shape when some nice people found me trying to survive on my own on the streets in Guatemala, but I am healthy and gorgeous now. I love people of all sizes, shapes, and ages. I mean, REALLY love people.... Do you have a large lap? I might love you even more if I could fit onto it. I like dogs too, and like to play with doggie friends, but I get a bit jealous of my human’s attention sometimes and need to be gently reminded that sharing your love is okay. Maybe I am a bit jealous because I had so little love when I was a puppy. I love my rescue people, but I’m hoping there is someone special out there who might have fewer dogs in the house so I could have a little larger portion of your "spoiling,"
I have lots of hobbies. I love to go on long walks and play games like “tug” and chew on toys. I am really, really good at a silly human game where the people ask me to do super easy stuff like sitting, lying down, or coming to them and then give me delicious treats. I could teach you how to play this if you like. I love sunbathing, lying on the couch next to you, and having my tummy rubbed.
My name is Nena (which means “little girl” in Spanish). I had my first birthday a couple of months ago, and am feeling quite grown up and ready to move out. Would you like to learn more about me? Please contact my friends at Unidos para los Animales who would be happy to tell you more about what a wonderful friend I am.
