ADOPTED
Meet ALASKA in Rhode Island We have been calling him Bailey.
We do not transport dogs out of the area. We ask that you live within 80 miles, no ifs ands or buts.,please.
We are an all volunteer organization and can only respond when a completed application is filed. We do list our requirements, so please read carefully. Sometimes the ad states the date the dog is expected to arrive into Rhode Island....so please don't be discouraged if you don't hear right back. All dogs are adopted through contract.
Alaska is 21 lbs, about 2 years old, friendly with other dogs. We are not considering him the best candidate for a home with children though visiting ones are fine. He also loves sitting on laps as well as dog to dog play and running around. He has begun basic training at his foster home and they say he is a genius and eager to please. He is beginning to learn sit, come and to walk nicely on the leash. He was brought into a high kill shelter as a stray. We recently found out that someone was using him as target practice because our vet felt a beebee in him. Thank goodness it has no effect on his health. Our rescue treated him for a light case of heartworms and is now vet cleared to find his forever family.
. His meet and greets will be held by appointments from applications. We are unsure what his breed is, possibly Poodle mix,.he could be a labradoodle LOL...He is a great MUTT.

Once we have reviewed your application and think it is a match we will notify you. Please understand that as these dogs are fostered we do get to know them and have a good idea of their forever home. We do NOT save applications, but you may put multiple names on one applciation. We do not choose by a first come first serve basis. So if the dog is still up on the site, consider the dog AVAILABLE. We do take down quickly when adopted.
