Welcome back Carter! He was adopted from us as a puppy. He was returned when his owner could no longer care for him due to illness. A friend who knew Carter noted that he was a great dog--very protective of his home and family. (She also noted, as we have found, that Carter is not fond of cats.) We are hoping that he gets a second chance to have someone who will love and care for him. Carter is an energetic, 6 yr old., 38 pound shepherd/hound mix that must have a fenced yard. However, he will also claim a spot on the sofa or comfy chair beside his new owner. He loves long walks and car rides and is sure to be a quick study when it comes to tricks for treats.
