Raven's Story...
Raven is a 4 month old kitten (1/13/15). She showed up in one of our volunteers garage one cold night. Raven has been inside for about 3-4 weeks now and she likes the warm, comforts of indoor life. She can be shy when you first meet her still but it just takes a couple minutes for her to warm up to you. She likes to play with the Turbo Chaser and she climbs up on the cat trees. She is a very sweet laid back girl. Raven gets along with the other kittens in foster care and likes to play with Stormy, Midnight, Shadow, and Kally. Raven is spayed, utd on her rabies and distemper vaccine, and tested negative for FIV/FELV. She would like a quiet home and is ready to find her forever family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raven, a Fredericksburg Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fredericksburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Fredericksburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fredericksburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fredericksburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fredericksburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
