Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB January 7, 2013.
Lovable, laid-back Benson arrived at Toronto Animal Services severely emaciated. He’s a medium-to-large cat and weighed less than 3 kg. After some medical attention, he was transferred to foster care for fattening up. He completely obliged by doing nothing but eating and enjoying his new, soft bed for the first few days.
Benson is beautiful inside and out, with the most easy-going temperament. He loves to be held (as long as it doesn’t interfere with dinner) and will head butt your face, licking you wherever he can reach. He is happy to just be with you, whether on your lap, beside you, or snuggling in bed.
Somewhat surprisingly, given the starvation in his background, Benson is not a ferocious eater nor is he aggressive about food, though he certainly loves what he gets. He will happily eat whatever he’s served, but for some reason seems only to be able to eat wet food off a saucer; a small bowl will defeat him and set him crying for help.
His litter box habits are excellent, though he needs some encouragement to use the scratching post. But he’s pretty smart and already he’s told “good boy” more often than “no!”
Benson loves to play, and zooms around his foster home. He gets along fine with his feline foster brothers, and is always in the mood to play... even if they're not. He has met one calm dog and, though surprised, was not aggressive. With careful introductions, he takes most things in stride and would probably fit nicely into a home with other pets. He would also be fine getting all the attention for himself as an affectionate only cat. Please welcome this handsome, friendly boy into your family.
