My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cookie came to us years ago as a mama dog with her pups. The family who had them was moving and decided that the dogs would not be going with them, so a good samaritan brought them to Bandit's Buddies. The puppies have long since been adopted, but sweet Cookie is still here looking for her forever home! She is a distemper survivor...Cookie is a Pug/Chihuahua mix and is about 7 years old (MAy 2016) sweet as can be. Could she fit in with your family..she's such a sweetheart! 

The best way to meet the dogs listed here is to visit us at Petsmart every weekend.  If there is a certain dog you would like to meet, please call us and let us know so we can be sure to bring it that weekend.  Please text us so we can set up a time for you to meet your new best friend if you cannot make it to Petsmart on weekends.  We are a volunteer based organization, which means we have full time jobs and families too, so please understand if we don't get back to you right away. 

Due to the nature of rescue, we cannot always offer details on every dog, since many of our dogs come from surrounding shelters. We will do our best to answer questions, though!

We have a few simple forms for you to fill out.  We will also ask you a series of questions to make sure your personality and lifestyle is right for the dog.  We want to ensure you are a perfect match.  If you decide that the dog you chose isn't right for your family, we will take the dog back, but no refund is issued.  We never want to see the dogs we save end up at the pound or in the backyard all of the time.  We look forward to meeting you and helping your find your new family member!
