Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Darbie came to us as a hopeful lost-and-found case-- she had been spayed (in fact the stitches were still in) and so we hoped to reunite her with her family. Sadly, no one ever came after this sweet, attentive dog.
Darbie is active, friendly, playful, and affectionate. Her happy "smile" and wagging tail tell us that she certainly loves life and looks forward to a future with a family of her own. She would do well in any family-- so far she is good with other dogs, cats, and kids. She is a touch hesitant when meeting new adult men or older teenaged boys for the first time, but quickly overcomes this (within a few minutes of gentle reassurance and petting).
It also turns out that Darbie makes a great playmate for young puppies!
