Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lady is a sweet adult hound that was picked up a few days before Christmas. She was full of milk like she was raising a litter, but her puppies were never found which makes us think she was tossed away when her pups were old enough. She then sat for over a month waiting for a new family to get her, but when the shelter filled she needed out. She entered our foster program and hasnt looked back. She is a wonderful girl who loves people and loves food. True to breed she will sniff out any morsel of food that is left out, though is learning that things on the counter are off limits. She is fostering with 2 smaller dogs and has done great with them. She has also tested well with dogs her size. She doesn't always like other female dogs, so she would be best paired with a male dog. She has yet to be tested with cats in foster care. While she has not been tested with kids, we suspect she would be a good match for older kids (she is a big girl and may accidentally knock over young kids). She is housetrained and we are working on crate training which is going well. She does like to follow her nose when outside, so she is likely not a candidate for off leash work, or being left unsupervised in a yard. She generally isnt barky, though will chime in when her foster dog brothers get started. She has the most velvety ears and her coat is absolutely stunning in person. We are looking for a forever home for her at this time.
