03-05-2015: NIKKO DESERVES BETTER

Nikko is a handsome young guy who has been passed around from home to home by no fault of his own. We do not have many details about his past except what we were told by the family who surrendered him to us and they only had him for 3 weeks.

Poor Nikko has been bounced from at least 2 homes that we know of. In his last home he was left tied to a door knob for 12 hours at a time while the people were at work! He would escape from his tether and proceed to do what you might expect a dog to do when left alone for so many hours. He would relieve himself on the floor and started to become destructive. Who could blame him?

We are finding that Nikko is very sweet and he does well with all types and sizes of dogs in daycare every day! He is also good with cats. Everyone he meets loves him! Although he is currently very underweight, he still tips the scales at 75.8 pounds! When he fills in, we expect he will be a big boy!

Nikko had no medical history when he arrived. He has now had a complete exam by the vet, received all his inoculations, had a full panel bloodtest, was screened for parasites and was also neutered. Nikko is a very special boy who deserves better, and we will make sure that is exactly what he gets.
