UPDATE: MAY 30th, 2008. Adoption status: AVAILABLE! MALIBU HAS IMPROVED 100% AND READY FOR ADOPTION! Please note that Malibu will only be adopted to North/West Vancouver applicants who are breed savvy. Malibu will also need someone home during the day to help with her separation anxiety.
Malibu continues to improve and is almost back to her old self. She continued on the antibiotics for 6 weeks and under constant observation. She has improved so much but more tests will be done to determine the next course of action. She has favored her left side over the right and if she over-uses her body she begins to show discomfort. X-rays were taken and the joints look good. Malibu will be re-examined by our vet in the next coming weeks. All paws and fingers crossed for this very sweet, deserving dog! Please keep checking here for her updates.
Malibu is now in foster care in North Vancouver. Malibu recently became lame in her front quarters and after many tests we believe Malibu may have lyme disease (from a deer tick) or lyme vaccinosis. She is currently on antibiotics to help with the infection and doing well since being treated. More tests will need to be done to confirm the diagnosis. In order for us to keep treating Malibu we need your help. We are hoping to raise enough funds to provide Malibu with the care she will need. Please consider making a donation to help us help Malibu. Malibu is a very sweet, high-energy dog who will need obedience training and tons of leadership. She is a very busy girl who does not like being left alone and will need someone home during the day.

Malibu is a young, 16 month old, PB German Shorthaired Pointer. Malibu was just spayed and is recovering well at her foster home.
Malibu is spending her days at one of our foster homes in Vancouver with a young Vizsla and gets along well with other dogs. Malibu has been passed around a lot over the last year from home to home. It appears she has handled the stress of moving rather well. Malibu has a very ACTIVE and sweet personality. She weighs 43 lbs and appears to be house-trained. Malibu does not do well left alone for long periods of time and would be best suited to a home where someone is around part of the day. Malibu can and will not be crated or kenneled.
