My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Updated Bio 4/26/2015 Rocco is an 8 year old yorkie male, weighing 11 pounds. He is being fostered in Hardy Virginia

Thank you to Rocco’s Rescue Angels!

Hello Rocco here! Since my last update my skin is in good shape and I have had my dental done. That was a rough one as they removed 9 teeth, but I’m doing better now. My vet says I am in good health! Guest what? My FM has told me that I have to be the handsomeness yorkie there is. She calls me a rock star. I like hearing that! I love my 50pd siblings very much. We like to play with toys which make my FM anxious sometimes. I still don’t care for cats very much. I like to be close to FM and my favorite things are belly rubs and sleeping next to her. I love FM’s little grand-daughters and I’m a little shy of adults at first but I warm up quickly. I’m trying hard to fix my house training issues. FM says we may have to go talk to the vet to see if I have an incontinence problem.
Rocco is very sweet! He is wearing a belly band quite a bit for mistakes. I’m trying different tactics to help him get house trained. If you are looking for a loving sweet heart, Rocco is the one for you!

Initial Bio 3/9/15 Rocco just came into his new foster home and is working on settling in. Rocco appears to be in need of a lot of tender loving care. He came in to UYR in pretty rough shape. He is going to the vet Wednesday for his check up and vaccinations. Once he gets a nice bath and a grooming he will be a new dog. The vet will be checking his eyes and skin as he seems to have a rash. He definitely needs a dental so he will be getting that done soon, too. Rocco will be an amazing dog after receiving the proper medical care, good food, and a ton of loving care.

Rocco is getting along fine with the other dogs in the home, but doesn't seem to like the cats. His foster mom will be working on that with him, but at this time it looks like a no cat family would be the best fit for him.

Once Rocco has seen the vet we will know a lot more. He is partially house trained and is great with kids. He also rides nicely in the car and is crate trained.

Look for more information and Rocco's picture coming soon.
