Please meet Riley! Riley is a very handsome male Shepherd/Lab mix! He is approx. 40-45+ pounds, fully grown. He is approx. 3-4 years old, but still has some "puppy" left in him! Some of the perks of adopting a dog around Riley's age is that he will come to his new home with some doggie training already under his belt. Also, he is no longer in the that hyperactive, very needy "puppy stage" where he will need constant attention and supervision. Just the opposite, Riley is a very well behaved, well-mannered fella! He is mellow, laid-back and easy-going. He's a breeze to take care of and a joy to be around. Riley's personality is a little bit goofy, silly, playful, kind, so lovable, super sweet, gentle, intelligent and soulful. He is also a bit of a charmer and he's great at wrapping you around his furry little paws, which we don't mind at all! Riley is so easy to love with his warm, expressive eyes, his adorable smile and his happy-go-lucky attitude! He has a beautiful blending of tri-colored fur, and everyone tells him how handsome he is. His beautiful long ears are velvety soft and his snout is perfect to give him a smooch on, which he loves! He has an amazing personality that will capture anyone's heart! Some words to describe Riley include endlessly loving, curious about his surroundings, sometimes playful, always loyal, and gentle-natured. He has the personality of a wonderful family dog, and he would enjoy spending time with children and watching over them, if kids are in the home. I hope you like doggie kisses because Riley loves to give them out, free of charge! This sweet boy loves to be near his loved ones and will be happy to sit with you, sleep with you, smother you with doggie kisses, walk outside with you, and just keep you company. He adores being outside in nice weather, and loves for you to throw a tennis ball for him! He enjoys being social and being included in family activities. Being outdoors and getting exercise is a fun way for Riley to stay healthy and happy, so he is looking for a fun-loving family who wants to spend time with him both outdoors and indoors. He has a medium or sometimes lower energy level, and he loves his beauty sleep. Riley tested well around cats and was curious about them, but not aggressive. Riley is a sweet, gentle soul who can't wait to meet his forever family! Anyone who adopts Riley will be making a life-long best friend! Just like with any dog in a new home environment, Riley will need some training from his future family and an adjustment period, but we think he'll catch on quickly.
