My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eli is approximately 1.5 years old & 6.5 pounds. He is a devoted, very intelligent little guy. I'm told he is a Cheweeni. As you can see from his photos, he's a very cute little man. I found this quivering bag of bones in San Bernadino Animal Shelter. Anyone familiar with this shelter knows it's not a good place to end up! Knowing this terrified little guy was down to his last few hours alive, my heart ruled my wallet and I got him out. I had him neutered and given all required shots. He is now at his ideal weight and always has a wagging tail. Although he's a happy and very affectionate little guy, he's also very nervous of people and situations he isn't familiar with. He will need a very patient family or human who will give him the time and space to feel secure. He lives with my four dogs, ranging from 47lbs down to 2.5lbs. He also plays and stays over at Wags and Wiggles in Tustin socializing with the dogs there and staff. He loves to walk on the leash but is very afraid of dogs or humans he doesn't know and will growl. He loves his crate, where he sleeps at night and sometimes goes there voluntarily during the day. He has a couple of squeaky toys he adores and a nice chew.
