If you are looking for an energetic older man Tyson is your perfect fit. He is an 11 year “old” owner surrender. He loves to play ball & often lies around “talking” to his favorite toys and believe me he has a lot to say. His ideal home would be someone who is around most of the time & can give him the attention he so wants & deserves. He loves kids & excitedly greets everyone when they come home…tail wagging & running around you in circles.
Due to his size & energy level he will need a home with children 12 & over. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body & gets along well with his foster brother & sister (basically he just ignores them). He is potty trained, but needs prompted to go outside. After treatment for UTIs he now sleeps thru the night. He is not fond of a crate, but loves his doggie bed at night & the couch the rest of the day. He loves looking out the window during car rides & walks pretty good on a leash. He is UTD on shots & recently neutered. He does need his ears cleaned with a solution several times a week due to previous untreated ear infections. He is also currently on Prion twice a day and could possibly be for the rest of his life.
Tyson has been recently screened for allergies and the results came back negative for all the major environmental factors. Therefore, the vet believes it to be food allergies. He has just started a prescription food that is available from the vet and if this works then he will need to stay on this food.
THEREFORE, WHOEVER ADOPTS HIM NEEDS TO HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE DIRECTLY WITH BULLDOGS AND ALLERGIES, OR HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING OF ALLERGIES AND THE WILLINGNESS TO CONTINUE TO WORK WITH HIM!!! If you do not, please DO NOT APPLY!!
Don’t let Tyson’s age scare you off. He has more energy than his 4 & 8 year old foster siblings combined. He deserves to have a loving forever family to share all that energy with. You won’t regret opening your heart & home up to this sweet guy.
Adoption donation is: $200.00
All adopters must live in Ohio, or within a 2 hour driving distance of the border.
We do not adopt out to families with children under 8 years old.
