Lexi is an 11 year old female red Shiba Inu who lived with one family and her sister shiba, Roxy, her entire life. Roxy and Lexi were well-loved and taken care of but their family is no longer is able to keep them; now both senior sisters are in rescue with DC SIR. Lexi is great with people, children, other dogs and cats. Lexi has hypothyroid which is very manageable with affordable pills and incontinence which is also manageable with medicine. She has a large fatty mass on her stomach which is believed to be benign; it doesn't slow her down at all! DC SIR will be putting Lexi and Roxy on their Senior Health Program and doing a thorough vet check and senior panel to make sure these senior sisters are in tip top shape before they go to a real forever home. Lexi misses her former family and home; she likes to be around people and to cuddle and get belly rubs. She is very active and acts more like a puppy than a senior shiba! She would love a kind family who would open their home to both sister shibas.
