My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Carlos (also known as Cosmo). This is a perfect little green cheek conure with really beautiful colors. His markings remind me of a fiery shoulder.

Carlos is DNA male, has been thru quarantine and is perfeclty healthy with clean vetting and bloodwork. He is a very young 4 years old.

I love this little guy, Jeanne (shelter owner) jokes she has to frisk me everytime I leave to make sure I am not smuggling this little guy out! You can see from the pics, he happily snuggles into your hoodie. You can pick this guy up around the body and he is totally trusting, will lay on his back in your hand. This guy has never even so muched as nipped. He would be perfect for a family and we would consider him one of the safest choices you will find for a family with kids old enough to properly understand handling a bird.

Apply quickly, any adopters who come to visit this boy will want to take him home!!

The Adoption Process:Fill out our online adoption application which can be found on our website, www.ahelpingwing.org (no phone calls please). A representative from A Helping Wing will be in touch to answer all questions and discuss setting up a first visit. Multiple visits are required before adoption. Although there is no application fee, there is an adoption fee, which covers food, medical care, etc., and allows us to continue our efforts in rescuing, caring for, and finding homes for all of our birds. All birds at AHW have been vetted and have negative tests for any disease before they are made available for adoption!
