Gertie's Story...
This sweet girl is Gertie. Her and 9 other puppies were found thrown in a ditch in a rural area. We are assuming they are all siblings as they are all about the same size- just all look a bit different. Gertie looks to be a shepherd mix. She has a beautiful coat with a black mask and a little white on her chin a little on each paw. We are estimating her to be about 8 weeks old as of 4-13-15 and about 7 pounds. These pups are very sweet and learning their manners now. She will be spayed, up to date on vaccines, wormed and started on heartworm and flea/tick preventative before going to her forever home. She is located in Arkansas but we have transport that takes our rescues to the Northeast on weekends, once they are adopted. The transport is Got Orphans Transport and you can check them out at For more info on Gertie please email Sandy at and thank you for considering one of my rescues!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gertie, a Trenton Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Trenton, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Trenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Trenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Trenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Trenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
