My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

One of our wonderful fosters met Taquito in her front yard. He was a frequent visitor; if he heard Michelle or her daughters outside, he would come running! He was quite smitten! Michelle was concerned about him being allowed to run loose in the neighborhood, especially considering the coyotes in the area. She soon learned Taquito’s tragic story – about a year ago, one of her neighbors found him as a stray. He recently decided he no longer wanted a dog, removed Taquito’s collar, opened his front door, and let him go.

Michelle came to Taquito’s rescue and has happily volunteered to foster him until a forever home can be found. He is the sweetest little fellow! He loves everyone, including children and other dogs. As such, we would like to find him a home with other dogs where he can be part of the pack. He will soon be tested with cats, but we have a feeling he will love them too! He’s just a little guy, weighing only six or seven pounds. We aren’t certain of age, but we believe he is young. We will have a better estimate when he sees the vet in the next couple of weeks for neuter and vaccinations. He seems to be housebroken. We have been guessing at possible breeds – we are fairly certain there’s some Dachshund, and possibly some Jack Russell or Heeler. He seems very trusting, and easily bonds with his people. Taquito will be available for adoption after his neuter. In the meantime, if you would like to meet him, please let us know!
