My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Honey is an owner surrender by people who were trying to keep her confined to a pen in the back yard.

Well, Honey had better ideas than confinement. She is absolutely amazing at problem solving and getting herself into things.
* Table tops, hubs says she leaps up there, I say she moves chairs to help herself get up there.
* 30 gallon trash can sitting on wheels. I haven't figured this one out at all, this trash can is well over 36" high, and she gets in it.

Which leads to a confession...Honey is a dumpster diver. Yep, leaps tall trash cans in a single bound. Therefore, her new owner must be great at management of all things that contain or ever contained anything that might slightly be edible.

She likes to share, anything you are eating is fair game, and she sits quietly while you eat, with soulful eyes checking you out.

She sleeps next to you in a chair, or on you, or over you, whatever is available, and some of the positions she assumes would absolutely break my back!

She will cry when she is inside and you are outside. Especially her papa, she totally and squealingly bonds to her daddy. She sees my hubs out on his four wheeler or the lawn mower, and she stands at the fence squealing for him to come get her.

You can't help but love this imp, though she is always into something. She will stand up to another dog for things she decides are hers, even dog bed space, she has decided our personal dog will have to share her bed, and Critter is the only one who piles in there with her. Took a couple of growl sessions, but Honey prevailed.

She does occasionally have seizures, they aren't bad, but they do exist. We tried her on Phenobarbital, but didn't like the zombie like way she walked around while on them, so we took her back off the Pheno, and are using a method called Ocular Compression, which so far is controlling her not having a seizure...update we are putting her back on the Pheno, at a much lower dose than prescribed, along with the Ocular Compression.

This is one loving pup, she is about four years old, and just recently spayed. Her prior owners apparently were breeding her, because it is evident that she has had puppies in the past.

Honey is only available for adoption adopted to a home with retired people who want a staunch companion. She needs someone to love her who will shower her with hours of companionship, and include her in their everyday activities.

She loves car rides, and parks herself on the console so she can see out the windshield to keep track of where you are going. If our pack wasn't already so large, she would fit right in, but there has to be limits, and this little girl deserves a family of her very own.
