My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spice was found on June 29th, 2014 running in the street at Lake Benbrook with his friend Sugar. They were not chipped. No collars. Neither had been spayed or neutered. And they were both heartworm positive. Spice has had some neurological issues. The vet suspects he may have an injury in his spine. He is not aggressive but can be reactive with more boisterous dogs. He spent a month in boarding and lost ten pounds due to stress. He was neglected and possibly abused before we found him. He was covered in motor oil. His teeth are ground down from possibly having a penchant for chewing rocks and other objects. The vet estimated his age to be around 4 years. He is very loving. Loves to play ball. And very eager to please his human. I believe with the right foster or adopter he could live a long happy life.

He has now been neutered, received his heartworm treatment, and is now heartworm negative. Spice is an affable, friendly little guy who wants a home where someone is there most of the time and he has another dog companion. He has very nice leash and car manners and he is eager to be your friend.
