My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charlie is a 2 1/2 year old pit bull who was found as a stray in 2012 and taken to a shelter. It was discovered that he was completely deaf and has partial blindness especially impacting his depth perception. He has a tattoo of unknown origin on his inner thigh, best guess is he luckily escaped from a dog fighting group. The combination of breed and special needs made Charlie's chance of adoption at a shelter limited at best. People Helping Paws stepped in and placed Charlie with a foster who eventually adopted him. In 2015, the adoptive family's home situation changed and Charlie was returned to PHP for rehoming. Now Charlie has the additional challenge of being an adult, male, pit bull with special needs. For the past few months Charlie has been in a boarding facility due to the fact we have no open foster homes. During this time, PHP has realized that Charlie is sweet, goofy, very playful, and craves human touch.
