My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Princess Jackie is 50% Pug and 50% Jack Russell terrier and 100% ADORABLE. She seems to have gotten the best of both breeds. She is affectionate and likes everyone like most Pugs. Her kisses are fantastic. She not only is good with kids and dogs; she is even good with cats! She snores but not a loud snore, just a cute snore. Her face is partially pushed in and partially not. She has the wire low shed hair of a wire haired J.R.T. She plays a terrific game of fetch like a J.R.T but gets tired faster though not as fast as a pug. Her breathing is better than pugs. She has a pug tail but sometimes chases it like a J.R.T. but no worries, she doesn’t get obsessed with it. It’s just really entertaining.
Her majesty was an owner surrender. She was found as a puppy with her sibling and mama in 2011 not long after she was born. Her family had been abandoned in a yard. Another family in the neighborhood tried to give all three homes by spreading them out to family members but they also had other pets. Princess Jackie ended up living in two different homes of different family members but everyone had more pets than they could handle. She spend the last year and a half living with a loving young woman, her young child, two pit bulls and 3 cats and got along with everyone! Sadly when the other family member was never able to take her back, it was too much for the nice woman and she had to look for a safe place for Princess Jackie.
Enter Rocket Dog. We were worried about someone giving a dog away for free without the necessary resources to find the best home. We also wanted to update her shots to keep her safe and get her into a foster home so her behavior could be evaluated. In her foster home, Princess lives with two small dogs, a man and a woman. She loves is good with everyone.
She does not appear to have had much training but she is quiet in the crate and will sleep there. This is helpful as she is working on getting fully house trained. in her previous home, she was paper trained but her new family will have to do some work with her in this area so she can get a new routine down. Princess Jackie would thrive in a basic obedience class bonding with her new family.
We would love to see Princess Jackie in a wonderful forever home as soon as possible. This dog is a gem and so amazingly cute and happy. She will brighten anyone’s day.
