GOMER IS CURRENTLY BEING HOMED IN THE DES MOINES METRO AREA


Hey y'all it's me Gomer. Aren't I just the cutest looking senior hound you have ever seen!?! They tell me I am turning 8 yrs young in December, but don't let my gray fool you. I am just as sprite as any young whipper snapper out there. I came in this crazy place they call rescue after my previous food slaves got a divorce and didn't feel it was right to keep me all by myself with no other dogs. You see I LOVE other houndies. I pine for them and don't like to be alone. Mom says I am like a mother hen as I go around checking to make sure everyone is doing okay every morning. I LOVE the little food slaves too (you kow kids) and cats don't bother me one bit, just more love to go around. So see I HAVE to go to a forever home with other furkids. I am house trained, any hound at my age not house tained is horse puckey!! I am in great health and weight around 65 lbs., UTD on Vaccinations, altered, HW tested negative and on monthly preventative. The only thing you all should know is I have a large fatty cyst tumor on my right front flank. I've had that vet man check it out and it he says it poses no threat to my health, my mobility or my well being. So right now the rescue has chosen not to remove it. If you feel you can give me my FUREVER home in my senior years or just want to hear more about how darn cute I am please let mom know and she will tell you all you need to know: Jess'e:

Adoption Information:



Please remember Every animal for adoption through an Hounds Haven is fully vetted for their age and only needs routine preventive care. Dogs older then 6 months of age are heartworm tested! All dogs are kept on heartworm preventative. Every hound is vaccinated (age appropriate), and de-wormed, in addition to being spayed/neutered.



We are asking for interested parties to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire prior to us lining up an appointment for them to see the hound(s) at the hound(s)' home.
