My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A little background: Several of the dogs currently listed on our site are being cared for by two women in a rural area. Local adoptions are virtually non-existent and there is no animal shelter where they live. These dogs are living outdoors and winter is coming. We are trying to help them place as many dogs as possible into adoptive homes or rescues before winter sets in. Won't you please consider giving one of these dogs a nice warm home for the holidays?

Description: Alfie is a wonderful little dog. He lives with my own personal dogs and my fosters. He is absolutely terrific with other dogs. He loves to play with dogs and people alike. He has been around children ranging in age from 9 to 15 years old and he does wonderfully with all of them. He never jumps up on you. He really loves to have that special place on his belly and behind his ears scratched. He adjusts wonderfully to new environments. He is just fine with cats. He will walk by them without any concern or interest.

Alfie is a tri-colored beagle mix, with a medium length, silky coat. He is currently being housed with 8 other dogs that he lives harmoniously with. He would be happiest in a home with other dogs. Alfie orginally came to us from the dog catcher on May 2, 2005.
