My story

Skippy came to rescue through a sanctuary, who saved him and his siblings from abandonment. He is a handsome, young Shepherd/Lab mix.

He loves his humans, but prefers to avoid the smaller ones. He has lots of energy and needs daily walks or jogs. He is shy, at first, but when he warms up to you, he will be your BFF.

Skippy gets along with most dogs, but might think cats are toys, so it's best to avoid those sly things and stick with actual toys, instead.

L&S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic.

All of our pets are located here in San Antonio, and we partner with a couple of wonderful transport groups to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes age-appropriate vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, flea and heartworm prevention, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate.

Our adoption process starts with submitting an Adoption Inquiry to tell us more about your home, family, and activity level to help ensure the best possible pet match. The next step is to submit an Adoption Application and schedule a video call to meet the pet and interview with us, as well as ask us any questions you may have. The final step is to sign and submit the Adoption Contract, as well as submit the adoption fee.
