My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Remie, also known as Loki. Remie is about 1 1/2 years old and weighs about 77 pounds. We aren't quite sure of his breed so we are going with Bernese Mt. Dog/Rot. mix. Remie is neutered and current on his shots and heartworm negative and on monthly preventative.

So this is Remie's story. Adopted late last summer and returned 2-20-16. Primary reason for his return is that he is protective of his family and yard and didn't adjust well to visitors. He doesn't seem to like big men in black clothes or hats. He would growl and bark at them until they were gone. This behavior is not that uncommon but needs a family willing to work with him and seek dog obedience. This time around with Remie, we will insist that training be required. He is a great dog but needs a family or individual that will be alpha to him and not let him be the alpha one. Other reasons for his return is that he played rough with the cat, chewed on things left out like kids' toys.

Now on the positive things about Remie/Loki. He is very smart, knows multiple commands, house and crate trained, walks well on a leash and a good car rider. He is a big strong dog so would do best with kids about 10 and older. He doesn't realize how big he is.

Remie will make a wonderful pet to the right family or person as long as they are willing to work with him. We hope to find him a home with a fenced yard, no cats and perhaps someone who works from home and can keep him busy during the day.

Remie's adoption fee is $200.00.
