Thurman is a 60 lb Herding Dog Mix-we think he could be a Berger Picard/Briard/Border Collie. If you are looking for a loyal, protective. smart, assertive, and responsive dog you should meet Thurman. 5 years old, 60 lbs, Thurman needs to work and he needs an owner who will set boundaries with him, provide lots of structure and will continue his training. He is being fostered with a pack of herding dogs in Lancaster, CA and is thriving! He does not get along with cats, and we think a home without children would be ideal. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, crate trained, house broken, and a spectacular looking dog (he does have a cleft nose but it's just a cosmetic thing-no medical issues at all). Thurman, a Los Angeles Border Collie/Briard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Briard for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Border Collie/Briard dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.
Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Briard breeders who help with Border Collie/Briard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
