My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ben is a blue crowned conure, approximately 13 years old. He has been well loved his whole life, but like many birds, his family decided they couldn’t give him enough time and attention. They check in with us regularly to see how he’s doing. He is such a sweetie, just don’t use your hands! Fingers are scary. He gladly steps onto a rope perch to go places.

Ben likes to say “whatcha doing?” "Pretty bird" and “I’m a good bird!” If you have a cat, he'll do a great job of calling "Here kitty kitty" We know you'll just fall head over heels for Ben when he turns on the charm!- all very endearing.

Ben has developed some very good eating habits, and runs to his fresh food bowl enthusiastically every morning. Nutriberries are also a big favorite! He has Harrison’s pellets on hand too, so he’s on a very good diet. Ben likes to spend a good deal of time outside the cage, and he enjoys the 36” dometop cage he lives in at The Landing so he can be up high too.
