If you’d like to own your own miracle dog, JayJay is the one for you! He has overcome all the odds that were stacked against him and is ready for his forever home. When we met him at the shelter, we were immediately drawn to his beautiful eyes (one blue, one brown) and his sweet demeanor but also saddened by his emaciated body and heartworm positive status. After JayJay was neutered, it was apparent that something was wrong. So, instead of entering the jail, he underwent emergency surgery to stop internal bleeding. It was touch and go for a while but a wonderful foster stepped up to nurse him back to health.
JayJay is now 65-pounds and he would love a yard to play in. He likes to be active and would do well with an active family but he is also a couch potato and enjoys a good cuddle. He has a hilarious personality and is a very sweet boy. He has been with small dogs and has been a champ so a brother or sister to run around with would be great (just as long as it doesn’t meow!).
Although JayJay did not make it to the jail, he is ahead of his class in the manners department. He knows how to sit, stay and come. He is fully house trained and has never had an accident or lifted his leg indoors. He is curious but never touches anything that is not his. He loves his kong, tennis balls and rope toys and a good game of tug-of-war gets his tail wagging! He's such a happy boy just waiting for his forever home.
Jay Jay is heartworm positive, and Canine CellMates will be taking care of his heartworm treatment. If you would like to DONATE to Jay Jay's heartworm treatment please click on the link below. You have no idea how much this would mean to us. http://www.caninecellmates.org/online_donation.aspx.
