My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sophie just turned 10 is just the sweetest basset girl you have ever met! Sophie just went on an adoption visit and it didn't work out, but we did learn something important about this special girl. She prefers to be an only dog or with another older dog. The young pups bother her a bit and she gets aggravated. Sophie did have her rear left leg amputated when she had a benign tumor that had grown too large to simply remove the tumor. She gets around really well for a tri-pod but struggles with a lot of stairs. Her biggest wish is to be adopted by a family who has people around a lot (maybe retired) and will give her lots of belly rubs. If you are interested in adopting Sophie, please go to www.barcse.org and fill out an adoption application.
