Taffy is a 5 month old female lab/shepherd pup who joined us from a local shelter. BD&CR took her along with two other puppies (Tantom and Nutmeg). All 3 were painfully shy and shut down upon intake, almost to the point of being feral. They have started to come out of their shells in foster care and their personalities are just starting to emerge. All 3 are very sweet cuddly puppies and we will post more as we get to know them better. They will need patient, dog oriented families who will continue to get them out and about to work on socialization and training so they can become well rounded and adjusted adults. Stay tuned for more updates! 9/25/14 - Taffy is now 6 months old and has come a long way in her foster home. She enjoys going on walks and loves to race around and play inside with the other dogs. She will give kisses and likes to sit with her head in your lap but still has moments when she will back away. She is still very shy in new environments and noises outside (lawn mower, train, other animals) make her nervous. Taffy is housebroken and crate trained and knows sit, kennel, load up, get down, and will go to the door when asked if she wants to go out. She is still a puppy and will chew if left unattended but is a good girl in her crate. Taffy is looking for a patient adopter who will help to socialize her and help her overcome her shyness.
