Bolt is about a year old pit mix who is just STUNNING! Bolt is on the tall and lean side and won't get any bigger. He is the perfect size! There is nothing he loves more in this world than to lay on your lap and playing with his stuffed animals! He has just about the softest mouth we have ever come across and although he is very playful, he is extremely gentle. Bolt is neutered, vaccinated, house broken and crate trained He is ready, willing and able for his forever family to come and take him home! Bolt would benefit from an active family and he would LOVE to be a walking/jogging/running partner. If you are interested in meeting our hound/pit/who knows what else-mix Bolt, please complete an adoption application. You will be glad you did!
Foster Update: This is my first week of being Bolt’s “Foster Mom” and I have to say, Bolt may be the most goofy, fun loving dog I’ve been around. He is still in that cute, floppy puppy stage! With that puppy stage comes learning good manners! And we are working on them so that hopefully by the time he finds his FURever family he will be the perfect gentlemanJ His favorite thing right now is his Nylabone! He takes it everywhere… even on walks! I have enjoyed having Bolt in my life. He is a joy to come home to and have in the house! Bolt will make a family very happy someday!
Foster Update: Bolt is doing very well! He is so full of life and love. We are working on his leash training and he is coming along nicely. He is also doing much better “stay” and he even learned to “shake” this past week!! He absolutley loves to play but also loves to be loved on when it’s time to settle down for the night. He is completely house broken and crate trained and we haven’t had a single accident! Bolt is such a great dog and he will make a family very happy and we hope his very own family comes along soon but until then, I am happy to have him in mine!
Foster Update: Bolt (Mr. Squeakster) is doing so well! He is so cute to watch as he bounces around while playing! He honestly wants nothing more than to be loved and shown affestion. He is the best snuggle bug! The sky is the limit for this sweet boy and with continued training and plenty of exercise, Bolt will be the best addition to a family. He would make an excellent running companion or agility dog. He is so athletic, maybe he has some greyhound in him??? You just have to see him run, he is gorgeous. He has a beautiful stride and he is SOOOOOO fast! He can jump super high and would do awesome with someone who want to toss the Frisbee for him or take him on marathon runs, swims, you name it! And those beautiful bright eyes of his tell you just what he is thinking! This brindle beauty is about a year or so, therefore we think it is safe to say that he will always have the puppy-like innocence and just want to play with everything and everyone.
03/25/2016 Update: Poor Bolt, he has been with us for almost a year! Lots of people like him but unfortunately nobody has decided that he belongs to them:( please share our goofball boy Bolt and help us find him his happy ending! Bolt is a playful, goofy, silly boy who LOVES his toys. He plays with the puppies in our rescue most since he himself thinks he is forever a puppy! Bolt has us laughing constantly and we just adore this affectionate love bug. Bolt would love a playmate or two but he would also do great in an active family who can take him lots of places! He loves the car, loves his crate, loves everyone and everything. Bolt is house broken, crate trained and ready to find his family. He would also be an amazing agility dog for someone!
04/27/2016 Just look at that smile!! Bolt is still patiently waiting for his furever home. Bolt is a happy-go-lucky goofball who loves to play with his k-9 foster brother and sisters. Bolt is about 2 years old, fully crate trained, house broken, athletic, happy, affectionate, silly, playful and an all around great dog! We have no idea what Bolt is mixed with but his gorgeous markings and stunning eyes turn heads wherever he goes. Bolt could very well be mixed with Greyhound since he is so darn athletic! Bolt would make an amazing running partner. He loves to swim, play fetch and greet everyone he meets with his big smiling face:)
05/13/2016 Sweet Bolt is still waiting for someone to pick him!!! This big goober, is such a knucklehead. He has his foster mom laughing hysterically all the time! Bolt is good with other dogs but would probably do best with a playful female or smaller dog he can horse around with. His goofy, bouncey ways seem to annoy calmer adult dogs, but don't let his puppy ways fool you! Bolt is the first to roll over onto his back for a good belly rub! If you are interested in meeting Bolt, he will be at Pet Smart off Fairway this Sunday at noon.
