Hi, everyone! My name is Diesel, or as my foster mom calls me Big D! I am an 85 pound, 2 year old, Cane/Staffie mix and I love life!
I was found as a stray in a not great part of Houston and only given a short time to be rescued. Through happenstance, my foster mom came across my photo and said "there's no way we can let this handsome hunk slip through our fingers!" According to my foster mom, I am the happiest man on the planet!
My very favorite things to do are to ride shotgun in the car and play with all toys - I am a bit of a toy hoarder! I especially love Jolly Balls and anything I can RUN with in the yard. I also really love sticks, big sticks that are good for chewing. My best day ever would be to eat, play, snuggle, nap, repeat.
Although I am a big man, I am very gentle with people and stayed in an awesome foster home with kids the first week after my rescue. I am good with the little ones and I love to lick their toes! I however cannot be trusted around soccer balls because they are so much fun to pop! I am good with other dogs, but with my size, should probably avoid very small dogs. I also am a little to fond of playing chase with the kitties for my foster mom to think I should live with any.
I have been fully vetted (neutered, shots, and microchip). I am however, low heartworm positive. I have been started on my treatment protocol and the rescue would walk you through the very inexpensive medication I need to be given bi-monthly for the next year (it's easy, I promise!).
