Rubi's Story...
My name is Rubi. I am a 1 year old Beagle/Dachshund mix who came to Tall Tails from the All Sato Rescue in Puerto Rico. I am a tiny dog, only weighing about 15 pounds. I tested positive for Heartworm and am being treated, but I will be completely healthy very soon. I'm a bit shy, but extremely sweet. I enjoy being carried around and spending quiet time with my people. I get along well with other dogs and children. Please give me a loving home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rubi, a Freeport Beagle/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Dachshund for sale in Freeport, or seeking a Beagle/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Freeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Freeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Freeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Dachshund breeders who help with Beagle/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Freeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
