My story

CHEWBIE (ID# A0336XX) is a cute-as-a-button little Dutch dwarf mix brown-and-white spayed female rabbit. She was about 3 years old when she came to the shelter in August 2015. Chewbie likes to think she's a tough girl, but she's enjoys cuddles and pets once you pick her up. She's very opinionated and lets people know when she disapproves of things, so she probably wouldn't be a good choice for a home with younger children. Chewbie is great with her litter box and would make a fun companion for a rabbit-savvy family! Chewbie is currently in foster care; please contact us at info@petprojectfoundation.org or call 949-595-8899 to arrange a meeting.

All rabbits are current with their RHDV2 vaccinations.

Why adoption is a great option

CHEWBIE, a San Clemente Dutch other was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dutch for sale in San Clemente, or seeking a Dutch other from a breeder in San Clemente.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Clemente already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Clemente breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dutch breeders who help with Dutch rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Clemente paves the way for another one to be saved.
