It's Duke here. And I have been through quite the whirlwind the last few weeks. I found myself in a shelter in MO and I have no idea how I got there. Those people were really nice to me there and contacted rescue about me and told them I was one special boy and didn't deserve to be in that place in my older years. So rescue found me a special place to come and stay here in IA. I got a little cold and was under the weather for a few days, and am starting to feel much better, and Mom says I am just the sweetest, mellow thing ever. All though I prefer Dad. He is my buddy and I follow him EVERYWHERE!! I am very shy at first and miss my old family, but am willing to go to a real special FOREVER home in my older age, somewhere to hang my hat!! But please don't misunderstand I am not that old, 6-7 years and have many great quality years of love in front of me. I love other hounds, cats are okay too, and I would be wonderful with a family that has children. Jut more attention for me. I am house trained, UTD on all my vaccinations, HW tested negative and on monthly preventative, de-wormed and of course altered!! Mom wants me to tell you I only weigh 42 pounds, that must be pretty small for a fellow of my stature!!
