My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hudson is a 3 year old pitbull/shepherd/lab/who knows what mix. Hudson came to us from a local shelter where he was experiencing extreme kennel stress. Hudson was found as a stray so we have no information about his history prior to arriving at the shelter. Hudson did not like the confined kennel environment and began exhibiting behaviors that kept him from being adoptable. Once out of the shelter and placed in his foster home, all those behaviors disappeared. Hudson currently resides with a doggie sibling and they get along great. He does need some slow introductions to new dogs, but does great with small dogs and has done well with many large dogs after proper introduction. He is able to share his toys and even his bones and has shown no issues with food aggression. Hudson is a pretty low energy dog and will be easy for most homes to manage. He likes to play with his doggie sister for a while but then prefers to wander around the yard and relax. He is no stranger to sleeping on the couch for hours at a time! While he does love to relax, he also enjoys going on hikes and would make a nice hiking partner for someone. He has not been around cats so we do not know how he'd do but for the right family, we'd be willing to do a cat intro to see how he does. Hudson is a very sweet dog and he prefers to be with his humans. He really loves to snuggle with them and gives endless kisses. We feel he would do fine in a home with children over the age of 10. He knows basic obedience such as "sit" and is working on "down" and loose leash walking. He is crate trained and house trained. He has also learned to "drop" the ball when playing. He is up-to-date on his vaccinations, is neutered and is heartworm negative. If you are looking for a very sweet, loving dog with moderate energy, Hudson may be the dog for you! Please complete an adoption application if interested!
