Ellie's Story...
Ellie is a 1-2 year old red & white pit bull/boxer mix. She is...quite honestly...simply perfect. She is kennel trained, potty trained, very social, calm yet playful...and just *AMAZING!* ALSO! She is absolutely gorgeous - don't let the photos fool you! She was not really into picture day...so we had to do the best we could; but Miss Ellie is absolutely beautiful. There is no reason she shouldn't have a home! Social with all animals, loves all people, and well behaved - what more could you ask for!?

Email stephanie@mylongwayhome.org for more information on adopting!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellie, a College Station Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer for sale in College Station, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in College Station.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in College Station already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a College Station breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in College Station paves the way for another one to be saved.
