Richard's Story...
DOB: 8/26/15
Admitted to ELPO: 10/9/15

The Sweet Sixteen Pups were living in an abusive situation. They were not being well cared for, not receiving proper vet care, and living in makeshift shelters comprised of holes in the ground covered by plywood. Luckily, ELPO stepped in and rescued all 16 of these puppies. The owners were cooperative in their surrender of these puppies as they were overwhelmed. The puppies came from two mothers, most likely from the same father. A team shaved and washed the flea covered pups, and now they are happy and healthy!

They are nothing short of absolutely adorable. The squeak in harmony when see volunteers walk by with other orphans. Come meet the Sweet Sixteen!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Richard, a Dallas Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
